Manager of Technical Accounting (Hybrid, North of Boston)
Our client is a highly successful Asset Management Firm north of Boston and they are seeking a 4-10+ year professional to join their team as a Manager of Technical Accounting. This is a hybrid role (3X onsite) and they are offering between 125-170K base, depending on level and relevant experience, plus bonus.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate proposed affiliate partnership initiatives and assess related accounting implications
- Advise management on accounting risks that may affect the company’s business model, financial results, investor relations, or financial position
- Determine accounting treatment for capital planning transactions, including interest rate derivatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally to establish, document, and support accounting policies and positions in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Interpret and implement new accounting and auditing standards once finalized by regulatory bodies
- Assess the impact of proposed regulations and support the organization’s position as appropriate
- Monitor developments from standard-setting and regulatory authorities
- Partner with external auditors to support an efficient audit process and clear communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with significant technical accounting exposure
- Public accounting experience preferred
