Vice President, International Accounting (Boston)
We’re partnering with a leading global private equity investor with a multi-decade track record of partnering with management teams to build and transform businesses across industries and geographies.
As the firm continues to scale its global platform, they are seeking a Vice President of International Accounting to lead and oversee all non-U.S. accounting operations and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of the international finance function.
This is a senior leadership role within the International Finance Group, with broad responsibility across accounting, reporting, controls, statutory compliance, and cross-border financial operations.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop the International Accounting team, setting priorities, standards, and close governance
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for all non-U.S. subsidiaries
- Oversee multi-currency accounting, intercompany activity, and global consolidation inputs
- Manage statutory reporting cycles across international entities, including audits and filings
- Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, in-country providers, and service firms
- Partner closely with Tax, Legal, Compliance, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting
- Oversee entity management activities, including restructurings, incorporations, and liquidations
- Drive global controls framework, audit readiness, and risk management initiatives
- Lead process improvement, automation, and systems enhancements across international accounting
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
- Strong background in Big 4 public accounting and/or private equity/investment management
- Deep experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, and international accounting operations
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS (local GAAP exposure a plus)
- Experience managing teams and external service providers across jurisdictions
- Workday and/or ERP systems experience strongly preferred
