The tax department provides tax planning and return preparation for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships. As part of this team, you will service our family office clients in multiple areas of their tax compliance:
- Prepare individual, trust, gift, and partnership tax returns
- Assist with tax planning for the preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments
- Assist with tax audits, notices, and tax research projects
- Take ownership of tasks and be able to work with others to prioritize work assignments
- Handle multiple engagements at one time and meet deadlines
- Produce deliverables that are clear, concise, thorough, and of professional quality
- Dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of all clients
- Handle routine client tax questions, research tax issues, and work with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance
- Stay current on new tax legislation
- Other tax duties and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 1-2 years of experience with individual, trust and partnership income tax returns
- Experience with CCH Axcess or ProSystem Fx is preferred
- Financial Services or Family Office experience is a plus
- CPA and/or MS in Taxation is a plus
Skills:
- Candidates should be prepared to meet challenging client requirements and provide value-added services
- Possess strong communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Strong technical skills in accounting, tax preparation and research experience a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while keeping clients and members of the team informed
- Must be comfortable working collaboratively in a small corporate office with strong organization skills and careful attention to detail
- Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Adobe
