Systems Analyst – Financial Services – Boston, MA
Daley And Associates is currently seeking a skilled Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team at a leading financial services company based in Boston. As a Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in leveraging big data technologies and working hands-on with Apache Spark, Java, C#, AWS, and Data Bricks. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with trading and operations teams to capture requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
This is a long-term contract engagement (6-12+ months) that will pay up to $80/hr.
This candidate must be in the Greater Boston Area and be on-site 4-days / week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize expertise in big data technologies, particularly Apache Spark, to analyze and process large datasets.
- Work hands-on with programming languages such as Java and C# to develop solutions and enhance system functionalities.
- Collaborate closely with trading and operations teams to understand their requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications.
- Engage with product owners to create user stories that align with business objectives and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
- Leverage AWS and Data Bricks for data processing and analysis tasks.
- Embrace an Agile development environment, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, particularly within the financial services sector.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Java, C#, AWS, and Data Bricks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with trading and operations processes.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
