Staff Accountant (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
A global private equity firm, located in Boston, is actively seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team! This person will be part of the GP (General Partner Services) group and reporting to the GP Services Manager. There is a lot of room for growth in this position and they are offering a competitive compensation package plus 100% benefits. Responsibilities:
- Perform the calculation of carried interest income and distribution allocations to carryholders
- Compilation and distribution of quarterly and annual reports to carried interest holders and senior management
- Quarterly preparation of carried interest awards documents and distribution of awards through DocuSign
- Cash management responsibilities include assisting with: Recording cash activities in the GL weekly and reconcile cash at month end, investment of any excess cash, reimbursement of expenses back to the management company etc.
- Maintain investor information in Investran
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in finance or accounting, CPA preferred
- 2+ years of professional accounting, audit or tax experience, Big4 experience preferred
- Exposure to financial services clients (PE, VC, Hedge)
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
- Must be willing to work onsite 3 days a week
