Sr. Staff Accountant – Boston, MA
We are currently seeking candidates for a Sr. Staff Accountant opportunity with a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. The Sr. Staff Accountant will work closely with the Corporate Controller and will support month-end close, GL reconciliations, and journal entries.
This is a 3-6+ month contract to hire opportunity, paying between $30-$40/hour (depending on experience).
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile AP at month-end
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Produce journal entries adjusting entries in footnotes at month end
- General ledger reconciliation
- Performance and close procedures for five entities
- Work with business managers on accounting discrepancies
Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 4+ years of experience with month-end close in financial statement prep
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Excellent Excel skills (pivot-tables, v-lookups, macros, etc.)
