Sr. Fund Administrator
We are currently seeking candidates for a Sr. Fund Administrator opportunity with a highly successful Investment Management firm located in New York, NY. The Sr. Fund Administrator will oversee daily cash availability, review NAV movement reporting, coordinate regulatory reporting, and manage internal controls. The ideal candidate will have 10-12+ years Fund Administration/Fund Accounting experience in Investment Management industry. Experience with mutual funds is essential.
This is a 6-12+ months contract opportunity, paying between $100-$115/hour (depending on experience).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee expense payment and expense budget process with Fund Administrator
- Provide oversight of third-party accounting, custody, and fund administration service providers
- Prepare support for prospectus and statement of additional information annual update
- Oversee daily cash availability and nightly NAV movement reporting with Fund Administrator
- Contribute to process improvement and prepare automated workflows utilizing Alteryx
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual regulatory reporting requirements through communication with the fund administrator, independent auditors, and internal parties
- Form N-PORT, Form N1-A, Form N-2, semiannual and annual reports, Form 10-K/10-Q, Form N-CEN, etc.
- Manage production calendars with the service provider and ensure deadlines maintained
- Collect internally sourced documentation for all regulatory filings and financial statement comments from internal and external parties
- Assist with the annual audit and partner with our external auditor
- Support implementation of tailored shareholder reporting (TSR)
- Contribute to developing and maintaining internal controls and procedures
- Prepare and review quarterly board materials
- Support special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 10-12+ years of experience within fund administration (prefer public and private)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business
- Strong background in ’40 Act Funds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Great analytical, time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical skills (MS Office Suite (Excel), Alteryx)
