Sourcing Specialist
We are currently seeking candidates for a Sourcing Specialist position with a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. The Sourcing Specialist will support the firm’s global hiring efforts, which includes a high-volume of information technology requisitions. The Sourcing Specialist will execute a multitude of sourcing techniques across various channels to identify strong candidates, develop relationships, and enhance talent pipelines for current/future hiring needs. The ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years of experience working in a sourcing capacity, focusing on IT hiring needs. Previous experience in financial services, investment management, or related industry highly preferred.

This role is based in Boston, MA and supports a hybrid work-model, consisting of 3 onsite days and 2 remote days per week.

This is a 6+ month contract position that will pay between $35-$45/hour (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically source and identify top candidates across multiple channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, networking platforms, referrals, social media, and niche industry sites.
  • Build, engage, and maintain strong candidate pipelines to support both immediate and future hiring needs.
  • Conduct active outreach, develop relationships with passive talent, and deliver a strong candidate experience from first engagement forward.
  • Craft and send strong and effective outreach emails to passive and active candidates.
  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, market dynamics, and target talent profiles.
  • Screen candidates for skills, experience, and interest to ensure quality alignment before sending to recruitment teams.
  • Track sourcing activity, pipeline progress, and candidate movement using the firm’s database.
  • Update and maintain activity in the firm’s candidate database, Workday.
  • Leverage analytics and sourcing tools to measure sourcing effectiveness and recommend new strategies or channels.
  • Provide additional support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • 2-5+ years of experience in a talent sourcing or recruiting role, focusing on IT hiring needs. Previous experience in financial services, investment management, or related industry highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize a variety of sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, talent mapping, competitive research, professional networks, social platforms, and more.
  • Previous experience with Workday highly preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter (including Boolean search strings), Indeed, Handshake, and related platforms. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
  • Curious, motivated, and always exploring new sourcing strategies.
  • Relationship-driven, with a genuine interest in connecting talent to opportunity.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on quality, timeliness, and candidate experience.
