Senior Systems Engineer – Boston, MA
The Senior Systems Engineer will manage and maintain key infrastructure systems and services in a global firm, fostering a collaborative culture. This role involves coordinating technology projects, handling upgrades, and collaborating with IT teams. The ideal candidate has industry-related experience within a global company, expertise in virtualization technologies, Windows servers, Active Directory, and network tools.
This is a hybrid role (min of 2-3 days a week in their office in downtown Boston). This is NOT a 100% remote role and candidates must be local to be considered.
Responsibilities include:
- Support global office infrastructure
- Lead projects
- Ensure system updates
- Participate in data center tasks
- Mentor team members,
- Contribute to certification efforts
Must have experience with:
- Virtualization
- Windows Servers & Services (IIS)
- Active Directory
- Network diagnostics, maintenance and analysis tools (SolarWinds)
- Storage technologies
- Citrix VDI & backup
- replicator technologies
- TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF
Other requirements:
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills are essential
- Travel may be required 1-2 times per year
- Minimum 5 years of Systems Engineering experience within a GLOBAL firm
- Preferred Bachelor of Science or equivalent
