Senior Staff Accountant
We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior Staff Accountant at a professional services co. in Newton, MA, 02462 (very close to Rt. 128) The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant accounting and month-end experience.
This is a 6+ month temporary role (with an opportunity of becoming permanent). 3 days on-site per week.
Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $50.00 based on relative work experience
Responsibilities:
- Post daily cash activity
- Reconcile Accounts Payable
- Reconcile Bank Statements
- Capital account transactions-Fixed assets & depreciation
- Wire payment transactions
- Perform Journal Entries and Adjustments
- Reconcile General Ledger Accounts
- Assist in month-end close responsibilities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in general accounting and month end responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or equivalent preferred
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong sense of urgency
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
