The Senior Project Accountant will support construction projects, including federal contracts governed by FAR/DCMA. This is a hands-on role responsible for job costing, billing, forecasting, indirect allocations, and audit support. • Manage billing and revenue recognition for contract deliverables; prepare invoices and support audit requests.

  • Implement and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for project accounting.

  • Support audits and DCMA inquiries; prepare schedules and provide required backup.

  • Build and improve templates, reports, and processes to scale divisional accounting operations.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, contracts, operations and payroll teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent).

  • Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience supporting project-based or government contracts.

  • Demonstrated experience with FAR/DCMA accounting requirements.

  • Strong cost accounting experience, including indirect allocations and job-costing.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data analysis).

  • Experience with CMiC or similar ERP/accounting systems.

  • Experience preparing audit schedules and supporting government audits.

  • Proven ability to create and document accounting processes and controls.
