Senior Fund Accountant (Private Debt) | Boston | Hybrid
A leading alternative investment management firm is seeking a Senior Associate, Fund Finance to join its growing finance team. This is a great opportunity for a Big 4 accounting professional with private credit/debt experience to transition into an in-house fund finance role with significant exposure to complex investment structures and alternative credit strategies.
Compensation: $100,000-125,000 + bonus
Schedule: Onsite 3 days/week
What You’ll Do
- Review fund NAVs, financial statements, capital activity, and reporting prepared by third-party fund administrators
- Support monthly and quarterly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Review management fees, fund expenses, accruals, and performance allocations
- Support accounting for complex debt investments, including PIK, OID, restructurings, amendments, and valuation adjustments
- Coordinate with administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and offshore teams
- Partner with Investment, Tax, Valuation, Operations, Legal, and Investor Relations teams
- Help strengthen internal controls, processes, and reporting infrastructure
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- CPA required
- Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred, particularly candidates with alternative investment, asset management, private equity, or private credit clients
- Private Debt experience is required
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and investment fund accounting
