Senior Fund Accountant
A fast-growing private credit investment fund, based in Boston, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its accounting/finance team. This role will have a diverse set of responsibilities within the accounting area and reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer. This role will be responsible for the fund accounting quarter-end reporting while interacting with all levels within the accounting team. This is a hybrid in-office position and the firm is looking to pay up to $100K base plus bonus. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the timely accounting of the funds, which includes recording transactions in the GL, reconciling cash and portfolio positions daily.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to clients.
- Manage quarterly and annual regulatory filings.
- Review capital call and distribution notices and capital account rollforwards.
- Maintain and review quarterly and periodic net asset values.
- Maintain and analyze various schedules relating to portfolio and fund performance metrics.
- Perform ad hoc reporting as assigned to support the business functions and special projects of the business and the department.
- Help lead the efforts with the funds’ annual GAAP audits and SBA exams.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting
- CPA is a plus
- 2-4 years of experience within a credit fund
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work under tight deadlines
- Strong Excel skills including the ability to develop efficient Excel templates from scratch
