Senior Finance Associate / Finance Manager (Hybrid – Boston)
A well-established alternative asset management firm in Boston is looking to add a talented accounting and finance professional to its growing team. This position is open at the Senior Associate or Finance Manager level, with title and compensation determined by experience. The firm is targeting candidates with 3–5 years of experience for Senior Associate and 5–7+ years for Finance Manager.
This is a hybrid position, offering a base salary range of $115K–$150K, depending upon experience.
Key Responsibilities

Review and oversee fund NAVs, investor capital statements, and financial reporting prepared by third-party administrators, including coordination with offshore teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness

Verify fund expenses, management and performance fees, and other core financial calculations

Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors to support audits, regulatory filings, and recurring reporting deliverables

Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Investor Relations, and Investment teams to support fund operations

Maintain internal fund records, dashboards, and supporting schedules related to capital activity, valuations, and distributions

Review capital call and distribution notices prior to release to investors

Assist with tracking investment activity, cash flows, and complex transactions such as restructurings, recapitalizations, and amendments

Support enhancements to internal controls, processes, and documentation across fund operations
Qualifications

3+ years of accounting or finance experience, including at least 2 years in public accounting or fund administration

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus

CPA strongly preferred or active progress toward certification

Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on investment fund accounting and reporting

Experience with debt instruments and structured products; exposure to private equity, hedge funds, or audit environments preferred

Familiarity with partnership accounting, complex fund structures, and basic investment fund tax concepts

Experience with fund accounting systems such as Investran, Geneva, or similar platforms
-
Strong Excel skills; comfort with PowerPoint for internal and external reporting
