Senior Finance Associate — $5b AUM Hedge Fund
Compensation: $100K-$115k base + 20% bonus, 100% benefits
A Boston-based asset management firm is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to support financial reporting, fund accounting, and operational initiatives across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance and accounting professional with public accounting or fund experience to grow within a dynamic, entrepreneurial investment environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the management company and related entities
- Support fund-level accounting, including expense allocations, accruals, and reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with audit preparation and regulatory/compliance reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with operations, compliance, investor relations, and investment teams on financial matters
- Support new initiatives, fund launches, and business growth activities as needed
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting; ideally a Big 4 CPA with hedge/PE exposure or fund accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Advanced Excel; familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) a plus
- CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
- Close attention to detail, self-starter, and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Work Schedule & Location
- Back Bay, Boston: Monday–Thursday onsite, Friday WFH
