Senior Accountant – Real Estate
Location: West Palm Beach, FL (4 days onsite)
An established real estate investment firm in West Palm Beach is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its Commercial Accounting team. This role oversees day-to-day accounting for a diverse commercial real estate portfolio, including retail, office, condo associations, restaurant, and hotel properties.
This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity that will pay a base salary of $90-110K plus bonus!
Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations and transactional activity

Analyze the general ledger and financial statements; prepare accruals and adjusting entries in line with GAAP

Complete monthly bank reconciliations and provide financial reporting for leadership and investment partners

Contribute to monthly cash flow forecasting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end workpapers and assist with annual GAAP audit processes

Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

Create reporting templates (e.g., Excel) and participate in process and systems enhancement initiatives
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

3+ years of public accounting experience with commercial real estate clients or 3+ years in commercial property accounting

CPA preferred

Strong understanding of GAAP and strong analytical abilities

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
