Senior Accountant – Commercial Accounting (West Palm Beach, Florida, 4X Onsite)
Overview
Our client is an established Real Estate Investment Firm in the West Palm Beach area and they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Commercial Accounting team responsible for daily accounting operations across a diverse commercial portfolio, including retail, office, condominium associations, restaurant, and hotel assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting activities and transactions
- Review and analyze the general ledger and financial statements; prepare accruals and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and financial analyses for management and partners
- Collaborate on monthly cash flow forecasts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end workpapers and support annual GAAP financial statement audits
- Assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Build reporting templates (e.g., in Excel) and support process/technology improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting mandatory
- 3+ years of public accounting experience working on commercial real estate clients OR 3+ years of commercial property accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Must be willing to work on a hybrid model 4X in West Palm Beach
