Senior Accountant
A well-established asset management firm located in Boston is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their fund accounting team. This position will be responsible for general accounting and fiscal-period closing. This position will report directly into the assistant controller of the fund accounting team. This role has a hybrid work schedule and the firm is looking to pay $90k-$105k on a base plus bonus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Prepare quarterly financial packages and annual audited financial statements for multiple private funds, both domestic and offshore

Collaborate with administrators on quarterly financial reporting

Review monthly and quarterly reporting provided by fund administrator for multiple private debt funds

Prepare capital calls and distributions

Monitor and review daily cash activity and manage invoice payments and accruals

Assist loan operations team on investment closings, payment and interest reconciliations, and portfolio reporting

Work with auditors on internal controls and annual audit work
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required

2+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting or in the financial services industry

CPA, or progress towards obtaining a CPA, a plus

Highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic, willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and work independently
