Property Accountant
A well-established real estate investment firm located in Boston is seeking a Property Accountant to join their team. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for the general ledger accounting and financial reporting operations of the firm. This role will provide additional exposure to other areas of the real estate business and opportunities for growth. This role has a hybrid in-office work schedule and will pay a salary range of $80-$90k plus bonus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Maintain books and records for assigned portfolio and ensure financial integrity of assets

Review accounts payable entries and bank reconciliations

Reconcile balance sheet accounts

Prepare quarterly investor reporting packages for management and partner review

Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and reforecasts.

Analyze performance versus budget/reforecast and assist Property Managers with variance analysis

Assist in the production of annual tax returns with management and external preparer
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred

3 years general ledger accounting experience

Microsoft Excel experience is required

Commercial real estate experience preferred

Ability to budget time and meet deadlines will be critical

Yardi experience a plus
