Project Accountant – Construction – Fort Lauderdale
A growing construction firm is seeking a Project Accountant to join its South Florida team. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity that supports multiple construction projects and partners closely with Project Managers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage subcontractor billing, payments, and compliance
- Process invoices and payments within the ERP system
- Reconcile activity and maintain accurate project records
- Prepare and post project invoices
- Support job cost reporting and project financial audits
- Communicate with subcontractors and vendors regarding billing and payments
- Assist with general accounting and project-related financial activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of accounting experience, construction accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with subcontractor billing, lien waivers, and project invoicing
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines
