Senior Trade Operations Analyst- Investment Management- Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Senior Trade Operations Analyst position with an industry-leading Investment Management firm based in Boston, MA. The position is responsible for the firm’s records, including reconciliation with their client’s custodians, to ensure they can provide comprehensive, accurate and transparent information to the firm. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services with strong accounting and reconciliation experience preferred.
This is a 12+ month contract that will pay $33-45/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position is required to be onsite 3 days/week in the Boston office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist internal groups to identify and resolve open reconciliation items
- Identify break patterns and opportunities for process and control improvements
- Utilize bank portals in the research of position, cash, and market value differences
- Maintain concise documentation and proper audit trail for in flight items
- Analyze bank data to improve the quality of the reconciliation results
- Design and implement a framework for feedback to the banks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required
- 3-5 years of experience in the Financial Services industry
- Strong accounting, custody, and/or reconciliation experience is preferred
- Experience working with data in Excel (SQL or Python knowledge is a plus)
- Understanding of accounting for, derivatives and synthetic exposures, fixed income, and equity
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and investigation techniques
- Comfortable working across a global team with a control mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment
- A sense of humor is absolutely required
