Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (FL)
Our client, a growing pediatric healthcare organization, is currently seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This individual will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients across a collaborative clinical setting, while supporting families and working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary and/or specialty care to pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence
- Perform patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and conduct physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and care teams as appropriate
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocols
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Document all patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care
- Support a positive patient experience through compassionate, high-quality care and communication
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and continuing education as needed
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Florida Nurse Practitioner license
- CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience in pediatrics, pediatric primary care, urgent care, or outpatient pediatrics
- Experience working with infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of clinical needs
- Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation best practices
- Passionate about pediatric patient care
- Warm, family-centered, and collaborative in approach
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Salary for this role ranges from $115k-130k, depending on experience.
