Litigation Legal Assistant
We are currently seeking candidates for a Litigation Legal Assistant opportunity with a highly respected law firm in Boston, MA. This position will support attorneys within the firm’s Corporate and Nonprofit Practice Groups and serve as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with prior litigation legal administration experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
This permanent position offers a base salary of $80,000–$100,000k (depending on experience) and follows a hybrid schedule, with 4 days onsite in Boston and 1 remote day per week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide litigation and administrative support to attorneys within the Corporate and Nonprofit Practice Groups
- Prepare, edit, format, and manage complex legal documents and correspondence
- Coordinate client communications and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage file maintenance, billing preparation, and other administrative functions
- Support two to three attorneys as a primary assignment while providing backup support to additional legal personnel as needed
- Prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Handle confidential client and firm information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of legal and administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of progressive legal secretarial experience, preferably supporting Litigation, Trust & Estates, Private Client, Family Office, or Corporate practices
- 4+ years of litigation legal administration experience within a law firm environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat; experience with 3E and NetDocuments is a plus
- Notary Public certification preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-through skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with file management, document production, and billing preparation
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, staff, and outside contacts while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Collaborative team player with strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels
