Lead Advisor – Wealth Management (Onsite, 5X Arlington, Virginia)

Our client is a successful wealth management firm in Arlington, Virginia, and they are seeking a Lead Advisor to manage a book of business and deliver comprehensive, client-centered financial planning services. This role partners closely with advisory and operations teams to provide strategic guidance, lead client relationships, and ensure an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary advisor for assigned clients, building trusted, long-term relationships
  • Lead client meetings, prepare materials, document outcomes, and manage follow-up deliverables
  • Support onboarding of new clients and maintain accurate CRM records
  • Coordinate with operations and investment teams to execute transactions and ensure seamless service

Financial Planning & Advisory

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive financial plans
  • Analyze client data, net worth statements, and financial information to deliver proactive advice
  • Integrate portfolio management, tax planning, and estate planning strategies into recommendations
  • Provide thoughtful, creative solutions tailored to client goals
  • Review and guide work prepared by associate advisors

Team Collaboration & Growth

  • Partner with team members on firm initiatives and special projects
  • Develop expertise in firm technology and planning tools
  • Demonstrate continuous learning and a strong commitment to professional development
  • Position for long-term growth into a senior advisory role

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CFP® designation strongly preferred
  • Strong commitment to fiduciary responsibility and client-first service
  • Ability to present financial planning concepts clearly and confidently
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse client and team relationships
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with financial planning software and CRM systems
  • High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and collaborative attitude
