Investment Risk Manager – Liquidity | NYC | Hybrid
A leading global investment firm is looking to add an experienced Investment Risk Manager to its Liquidity Risk team. This is a senior individual contributor opportunity for someone with strong money market, credit, and investment risk experience who can partner closely with Portfolio Managers and investment teams.
Compensation: $190,000-215,000
Schedule: Hybrid, onsite 3 days/week
The Role
- Assess and monitor investment risk across money market, ultra-short, fixed income, and stable value strategies
- Perform hands-on risk analysis, modeling, and data-driven research
- Evaluate credit risk, portfolio exposures, liquidity, and other key risk factors
- Partner with Portfolio Managers and the front office to communicate risk insights
- Work with large datasets, databases, and independently develop queries
- Translate complex risk analytics into clear, actionable recommendations
- Help mentor junior members of the team and contribute to the development of the broader risk program
- Participate in the transition from MSCI Barra to BlackRock Aladdin
- Opportunity to contribute to the firm’s growing use of AI within Investment Risk
What We’re Looking For
- Approximately 8–10+ years of investment risk experience
- Experience within an asset manager or bank
- Strong money market fund experience
- Background in credit risk, investment risk modeling, and analytics
- Experience with ultra-short and/or stable value strategies
- Strong understanding of money market regulations, including Rule 2a-7
- Strong data, database, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical risk analysis to Portfolio Managers and investment professionals
- Experience with risk systems such as Barra, Aladdin, or similar platforms
