Investment Content Writer – Boston, MA
We are currently seeking candidates for an Investment Content Writer position with a leading global investment management firm in Boston, MA. In this role, you will translate complex investment strategies, market insights, and data into compelling, high-impact content that strengthens the firm’s voice, enhances its thought leadership, and highlights its expertise across asset classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, a passion for financial storytelling, and the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging narratives. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact within a fast-paced, collaborative, and idea-driven environment.
This is a 3-6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity that will pay $45-$55/hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Create compelling content that showcases the firm’s investment expertise, market perspectives, and strategic positioning across asset classes.
- Translate complex investment concepts and market insights into clear, engaging narratives that resonate with both institutional and retail audiences.
- Copyedit and proofread content while advising on best practices to maintain a consistent, polished brand voice across communications.
- Develop a variety of materials, including market commentaries, white papers, product and corporate narratives, investor communications, brochures, and campaign content.
- Adapt content across digital channels, including websites, email campaigns, and social media, to support the firm’s broader marketing and communications strategy.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, client engagement, and sales teams to develop high-quality, integrated content and marketing materials for global audiences.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, industry developments, and competitor messaging to ensure content remains timely, relevant, and insightful.
- Identify new and creative ways to communicate complex investment ideas and strengthen audience engagement.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Finance, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

6+ years of experience in investment or financial writing, preferably within investment management or financial services.

Strong understanding of capital markets, asset classes, and investment strategies, with demonstrated knowledge of both Fixed Income and Equities.

Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content, tone, and complexity to diverse audiences.

Strong project management and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital and social media publishing platforms.

Creative and analytical mindset with the ability to combine market expertise with compelling, audience-focused storytelling.
