Interim Accounting Manager
We are currently seeking candidates for a “hands-on” Interim Accounting Manager at a consumer goods co. located in Burlington, MA, 01803. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in corporate accounting and month-end close and recent experience with Deltek Costpoint and Deltek Time & Expense.
Duration: 6+ months.
Hourly Pay Rate: Between $65.00-$70.00 (1099-based on relative work experience) within a 40-hour work week.
On-site 5 days per week.
Starts March 30th, 2026.
Must have experience with Deltek Costpoint and Deltek Time & Expense.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting, month-end close, billing, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries
- Perform and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of month-end close package materials
- Maintain recurring close schedules
- Generate and support customer billing/invoices
- Assist with AR aging and cash applications
- Oversee and/or support AP processing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in corporate accounting and month-end close and recent experience with Deltek Costpoint and Deltek Time & Expense
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Strong financial planning, budgeting and forecasting skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
