Fund Accountant – Providence – Hybrid
A leading PE firm is seeking a Fund accountant to join their lean accounting team. This role reports to the Controller and is a hands-on role. It is suited for a detail-oriented accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare bank reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
- Support weekly cash reporting, capital calls, distributions, and wire processing
- Assist with quarterly financial statements and audit coordination
- Respond to investor requests and ad hoc reporting needs
- Contribute to special projects across the finance function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 1+ year experience, ideally in Big 4 or another public accounting firm
- CPA strongly preferred (or progress toward CPA)
- Strong Excel skills
