Fund Accountant
We are currently seeking candidates for a Fund Accountant (Senior Associate) opportunity with a global financial services organization located in Minneapolis, MN. This role will focus on delivering high-quality fund accounting services while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls and service-level agreements. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of fund accounting or custody experience and a strong foundation in financial products and operational processes.

This is a 12-month contract position paying $33–34/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work model based in Minneapolis, MN, with standard hours of 9:00am–6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:
• Execute daily fund accounting activities in alignment with established SOPs, job aids, and internal standards.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all deliverables in accordance with SLAs and internal guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams, shared services, COEs, and external partners to resolve operational and client service issues.
• Respond promptly and effectively to internal and external enquiries.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and proactively contribute ideas to enhance team efficiency.
• Coordinate workflows, assign tasks, and support short-term planning to meet deadlines.
• Monitor output to ensure accuracy standards and delivery timelines are consistently achieved.
• Provide training, guidance, and coaching to team members as needed.
• Communicate clearly and effectively across teams and stakeholders.
• Escalate risks appropriately in line with established policies and procedures.
• Identify and report any unusual or potentially suspicious activity in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Provide additional support as required.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in fund accounting and/or custody operations.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and investment products preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work under deadlines.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with global teams and international clients.
• Commitment to compliance with company policies and professional standards.
