Finance Manager – Real Estate | Boston, MA | Hybrid
I’m working on a Finance Manager opportunity with a leading global investment firm’s real estate platform. This is a high-visibility role within a growing finance team, supporting both investment fund reporting and a diverse portfolio of direct real estate investments.
The portfolio spans sectors including multifamily, life sciences, industrial, retail, senior housing, self-storage and medical office, providing broad exposure to complex real estate investments and fund structures.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee quarterly and annual fund-level financial reporting under US GAAP and fair value accounting
- Provide accounting and reporting oversight for a portfolio of direct real estate investments
- Review promote and management fee calculations, ownership transfers and complex transactions
- Analyze fund cash positions and coordinate capital calls, distributions and investment funding
- Partner with Investment, Asset Management, Tax, Legal, IR, Compliance and other teams
- Coordinate with fund administrators, JV partners and external auditors
- Support valuations, acquisitions, dispositions and refinancings
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members
- Drive process improvements, including the use of technology and AI
Ideal background:
- 5–8 years of relevant real estate accounting experience
- Experience within a real estate investment manager preferred
- Strong understanding of real estate valuation, portfolio operations and financial reporting
- Fund reporting and/or public accounting experience
- CPA strongly preferred
- Yardi experience a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams

Base Salary: $130,000–$150,000 + discretionary annual bonus
