Director of Human Resources & Talent Management | Boston, MA
Our client, a leading Alternative Asset Management firm in Boston is seeking a seasoned HR and Talent professional with 10+ years of experience to join their team.
This hybrid role (3 days in office) offers a competitive base salary of $170,000–$195,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities

Lead recruiting efforts for junior- to mid-level investment and portfolio roles, developing both programmatic and tailored search strategies.

Act as the primary candidate contact, ensuring a high-touch, professional interview and selection experience.

Oversee full-cycle recruiting, including talent assessment, interview prep, feedback management, reference checks, and offer development.

Utilize data, market benchmarks, and analytics to evaluate recruiting effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Manage campus recruiting programs, including internships, full-time hiring, marketing, and employer branding initiatives.

Drive onboarding initiatives to ensure smooth integration for new hires.

Partner with HR and senior leadership to manage semi-annual performance reviews and compensation cycles, including development planning and performance messaging.

Design, implement, and enhance talent development programs and initiatives.

Own the end-to-end experience for Analyst and Associate programs, including long-term planning and senior leadership engagement.

Provide oversight for the Summer Analyst program in coordination with HR colleagues.

Support initiatives that foster collaboration, mentorship, and a culture of apprenticeship.

Collaborate with HR to analyze employee survey data and guide actionable outcomes.
Qualifications

10+ years of experience in human resources, recruiting, or talent management.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience in professional services or financial services industries.

Strong commitment to people development and building high-performing teams.

Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively across all organizational levels.

Proven track record of independently managing complex initiatives from start to finish in fast-paced environments.

High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Workday preferred.
