Director of Corporate Accounting – Boston MA – Financial Services
Our team is working with a leading financial services company based in Boston looking to hire a Director of Corporate Accounting to their growing team. This role will lead the company’s financial operations, overseeing reporting, budgeting, cash management, and compliance while serving as a key partner to firm leadership. The position is responsible for delivering accurate financial statements, managing audits, and providing clear insights into performance against budgets and forecasts. In addition, this role will manage treasury functions, payroll, and payables, ensuring strong controls and liquidity to support the business. The individual will also play an active role in strategic planning, helping guide financial decisions and long-term initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.

Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.

Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.

Provide variance analysis and financial insights to senior management.

Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs.

Oversee treasury functions and banking relationships.

Supervise employee payroll, benefits and accounts payable.

Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls.

Implement and maintain robust risk management practices.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

8+ years of experience in finance or accounting.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
