Director, Emergency Services (RN)
Our client, a well-established acute-care hospital in Western Arizona, is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead its Emergency Department. This role is ideal for a hands-on nursing leader who can balance clinical excellence with operational leadership, including staffing, throughput, quality, patient experience, and team development in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Emergency Department.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
- Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
- Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
- Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current Arizona RN license or Compact RN License with Arizona endorsement
- Bachelor of Science (BSN) from an accredited nursing school. Master’s degree preferred
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and Handle with Care certifications
- Emergency Department nursing and proven leadership experience in the Emergency Department

Salary: $111,000 – $150,000
