Director, Asset Management – Multifamily | $170k– $185k + Bonus

A well-established real estate investment management firm is seeking a Director of Asset Management to oversee a multifamily portfolio across high-growth markets in the Southeast. This individual will be responsible for driving property performance, executing business plans, managing third-party property management relationships, and maximizing asset value throughout the investment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead execution of asset-level business plans to drive NOI growth and maximize investment returns
• Manage and challenge third-party property management firms on leasing, operations, budgeting, marketing, and expense control initiatives
• Monitor asset performance, market trends, and competitive properties to identify value creation opportunities
• Review and approve annual operating budgets, monthly financial reporting, and forecasting assumptions
• Prepare quarterly asset reviews, valuation inputs, and fund reporting materials
• Partner with acquisitions, finance, and senior leadership teams on strategic asset decisions, capital projects, and disposition timing
• Present asset performance updates to executive leadership and investment stakeholders
• Travel regularly to properties throughout the portfolio
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5+ years of relevant real estate asset management experience
• Direct multifamily asset management experience strongly preferred
• Experience overseeing multiple assets simultaneously
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and valuation skills
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Prior property management experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence third-party operators and internal stakeholders
