CFO | Greater Orlando | Public Manufacturing Company
Our team is working with a leading aerospace manufacturer located in the Greater Orlando area, looking to hire a CFO. The CFO will oversee SEC reporting, technical accounting, and public company financial operations, ensuring timely filings, strong disclosure controls, and SOX-ready governance processes. The position serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and the Board, supporting capital markets activities including debt and equity financing, investor relations, and equity-related accounting matters. Responsibilities also include leading budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and long-term financial planning initiatives to support business growth and capital allocation decisions.

Responsibilities

Lead SEC reporting and ensure timely filing of 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks.

Strengthen disclosure controls, financial reporting processes, and SOX-ready governance practices.

Partner closely with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.

Serve as a primary financial advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Support debt and equity financing initiatives, including shelf registrations and other capital markets activities.

Interface with investment banks, shareholders, and institutional investors.

Oversee warrant accounting and equity-related transactions.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and executive dashboard development.

Guide capital allocation and long-term strategic finance decisions.

Lead and develop the accounting and finance team while improving cross-functional collaboration across the business.
Required Qualifications

Prior CFO experience within a publicly traded company.

Strong SEC reporting background, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K oversight.

Direct experience working with external auditors.

Capital markets experience, including equity and debt financing.

Experience presenting to Boards and supporting investor communications.

Background in manufacturing or a related industrial environment.

Strong leadership skills and executive presence.

Experience building finance infrastructure in a growth-oriented organization.
Preferred Qualifications

Small-cap public company experience.

Experience in industrial manufacturing, aerospace, or defense.

Exposure to capital raises, shelf registrations, warrant accounting, and equity compensation.
