Business Systems Analyst with Real Estate Portfolio Management and Accounting Systems

Join a dynamic team supporting Private and Strategic Investments within a renowned investment firm’s Real Estate sector in Boston, MA. As a Business Analyst and Real Estate Technology Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of technology-driven initiatives, from conception to execution. Armed with a deep understanding of business processes, you’ll translate requirements into technical specifications, guide system implementations, and ensure seamless user acceptance testing.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate robust relationships with stakeholders, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
- Elicit, validate, and document business requirements for technology initiatives, encompassing data flows, modeling, and user interface designs.
- Lead system planning and testing efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Drive user acceptance testing and provide support for system training and documentation.
- Simultaneously manage production support tasks and application development projects, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to support technology requests and implementations.
Required Technology Experience:
- Proficiency with Yardi Modules (Voyager/Construction Manager, P2P Investor Accounting) or similar real estate portfolio management and accounting systems.
- Strong familiarity with reporting and data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
- Intermediate skills in data modeling, normalization, and SQL queries.
- Expertise in managing business requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ability to develop workflow and functional Use Cases, ensuring alignment with business processes.
- Prior development experience is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, systems, or finance.
- Master’s degree with a concentration in finance, technology, or analytics preferred.
- 6+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in real estate or alternative investments systems is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Exceptional facilitation and organization skills, adept at managing complex projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
