Benefits Associate- Investment Management – Boston, MA
We are currently seeking candidates for a Benefits Associate opportunity with a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. The Benefits Associate will support the day-to-day operations of benefits programs and will ensure compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of relevant human resources benefits administration experience.
This is a 7-month contract opportunity, paying $30-$35/hour (depending on experience). This position is hybrid onsite 3 days/wk.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the administration of benefits programs, including medical, dental, FSA, HSA, LSA, commuter and COBRA benefits and vision
- Process employee enrollments, changes, and terminations in a timely and accurate manner
- Administer employee leaves, including FMLA, ADA and other leave types
- Manage leave records and documentation, including tracking employee leave balances and deadlines
- Responsible for timely and accurate payment of US invoices
- Reconcile and submit funding requests for FSA, HSA, and Retirement Plans contributions each pay period
- Research and resolve any invoice discrepancies with billing vendors, resolve escalated employee issues with vendor contacts
- Support employee relations and answer employee questions about benefit plans and coverage
- Interpret and communicate company policies to employees
- Interact with benefit plan vendors as needed
- Support Wellness Program by scheduling selected wellness seminars with our wellness and benefits partners. Recommend content, plan, schedule, and provide reporting on events. Plan and coordinate annual US benefits fairs
- Perform data input via Workday and perform high-level reporting
- Conduct new employee and wholesaler orientation and ensure that benefits information stays current in all publications (print, presentations, intranet, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of related HR experience with 1-2+ years of benefits administration experience
- Demonstrated understanding of federal and state legislation impacting employee benefits
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to handle information in a manner that protects confidentiality
- Working knowledge of windows-based applications and HRIS systems preferred
