Vice President of Investor Relations

A leading Boston-based venture capital firm is seeking a Vice President of Investor Relations to join its growing team. This is an opportunity for an experienced IR / capital formation professional to help build and scale a sophisticated fundraising platform across multiple investment strategies.
Compensation: $200K–$300K all-in + carry
Location: Remote/Hybrid; Boston candidates preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Help develop and execute fundraising strategies across funds, SPVs, fund-of-funds, and secondary vehicles
- Build and manage structured fundraising processes, investor pipelines, and CRM infrastructure
- Partner with senior leadership to scale the firm’s capital formation platform
- Manage relationships with Family Offices, HNW/UHNW investors, and other private market investors
- Develop investor materials, due diligence responses, reporting, and fundraising analytics
- Partner with investment, operations, compliance, and technology teams to improve IR processes and infrastructure
Ideal Background:
- 7–10+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Capital Formation, Fundraising, or Business Development within private markets
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience at a larger PE, VC, or alternative investment firm with institutional fundraising processes
- Strong understanding of private investment vehicles and fund structures
- Proven experience building or improving CRM systems, fundraising processes, and investor reporting
- Experience working with Family Offices and HNW/UHNW investors preferred
- Highly organized, analytical, and process-oriented, with strong communication skills
