Assistant controller (Track to Controller) – White Plains A rapidly growing food and beverage distributer is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team! As the Assistant Controller you will report directly into the VP of Finance and be responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll and inventory accounting. This opportunity is onsite 5 days/week and will offer up to $150,000 on a base + excellent benefits and the opportunity to be promoted to Controller within 6 months.
Responsibilities:

Manage the General ledger systems & Month-end/year-end close processes

Financial reporting and consolidations
-
Accounts receivable/payable, payroll, inventory accounting

Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls

Ensure compliance with tax filings, audits, and financial regulations
Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Accounting, CPA required

5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience + 2-3 years within a managerial role, preferably in the Wholesale/food and beverage industry

Expertise in inventory accounting (will not consider candidates without it)

Proficiency in ERP systems: Microsoft 365 Dynamics (will not consider candidates without it)

Advanced Excel skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
