AP Manager – Fort Worth Texas
A well-known Real Estate firm located in Fort Worth Texas is looking Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join their growing team! As the AP Manager, you will report into the Controller and be responsible for overseeing the AP department's functions and ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. This includes processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and supervising AP staff.
Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing
- Supervise the processing of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Ensure invoices are properly coded, approved, and entered into the accounting system in a timely manner
- Review and reconcile discrepancies in invoices and resolve billing issues with vendors
Vendor Management
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors
- Negotiate payment terms and discounts with vendors to optimize cash flow
- Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner
Compliance and Controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable processes
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud
- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and support as required
Team Management
- Supervise and provide guidance to AP staff, including training and development
- Assign tasks and set priorities to ensure departmental goals are met
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
Reporting
- Generate regular reports on accounts payable metrics, such as aging analysis, payment forecasts, and vendor performance
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of AP experience
- Must be willing to be onsite 5 days/week
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
