AI/ML Software Engineer – Financial Services

Daley And Associates is partnering with a prominent financial services firm in the Boston area to identify an AI/ML Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to build and deploy cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making, automation, and advanced analytics across the organization.

This is a full-time opportunity paying a base salary range of $130K-$190K

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning applications from concept through production.
  • Build and optimize machine learning and deep learning models using structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop applications leveraging large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • Design scalable APIs and backend services that integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
  • Develop modern full-stack applications supporting AI-driven workflows.
  • Deploy and maintain cloud-native AI solutions using AWS and containerized environments.
  • Build intelligent automation solutions, AI agents, and advanced orchestration workflows.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve model performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data teams, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative AI solutions.
  • Research emerging AI technologies and recommend best practices for implementation.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field preferred. Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience developing and deploying AI or machine learning applications in production environments.
  • Financial services or investment management industry experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills

  • Expert-level Python development.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and Java.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning concepts including regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning.
  • Experience with PyTorch or comparable deep learning frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS AI and cloud services.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or similar container orchestration technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Experience building AI agents, agentic workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP) implementations, or multi-agent systems.
  • Familiarity with modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development platforms.
