Accounts Payable Specialist ($60k-$80k)
Our client is a privately held real estate company located in the Fort Worth area that is looking to add an AP professional to the team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will work 5 days a week in-office and be exposed to all areas of a rapidly growing firm.
The AP Specialist is primarily responsible for certain activities and operations in the accounts payable function for the organization, working both independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze invoices and expense reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment, including entering invoices as needed
- Follow invoices through the approval process and work with stakeholders as needed
- Process vendor payments: check payments, ACH, and wire transfer
- Communicate effectively and professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Assist in preparation and review of accounts payable reports
- Assist in finding and implementing process efficiencies
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- BS degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience in a high-growth organization a plus
