Accounts Payable Manager – Full-Time in Boston
A growing commercial real estate accounting team is seeking an experienced AP Manager to oversee high-volume accounts payable operations and vendor relationships. This is a hands-on role with ownership of the AP function and an opportunity to modernize processes, including a potential transition to electronic payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all AP operations in MRI, including invoice processing, check cutting (~800–1,000/month), 1099 preparation, and vendor maintenance.
- Ensure timely payments of company obligations, including loans and real estate taxes.
- Maintain organized physical and digital records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support process improvements and special projects, including electronic payment integration.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of AP experience, ideally in real estate or mortgage accounting.
- Proficiency with high-volume check processing, vendor management, and 1099 reporting.
- Experience with MRI or similar accounting systems preferred.
- Highly organized, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented, with ability to work independently.
