Accounting Manager
A private equity backed medical device company located just outside of the Woburn area is looking to hire an Accounting Manager, plus multiple positions across their Accounting & Finance team. This role will work closely with members of the Finance, clinical, research and legal teams and assist with the assessment of all accounting matters, external reporting and accounting for clinical trials.
Responsibilities:
- Identify/research technical accounting issues and document key issues, assumptions, judgements and conclusions using white papers
- Review monthly accruals for clinical trials, pre-clinical and early discovery activities, contractual payments and prep/post journal entries, and preform account reconciliations for clinical trials
- Review Excel models for tracking clinical trial activity and ace as the Finance liaison to the clinical and operational teams
- Oversee SOX compliance efforts in partnership with an outsourced Audit firm
- Support external auditors in their annual audit and quarterly review process
- Mange the consolidation process
- Assist the technical accounting review of third-party contracts and agreements
- Assist with preparing 10-K and 10-Q forms
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a mix of public accounting and private industry
- BS in Accounting
- CPA required
- Ability to manage multiple projects timely and accurately
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- NetSuite experience is a plus
