Senior Payroll Associate
Our client, a leading global private investment firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Associate to join its established Payroll team in Boston.
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to join a sophisticated, fast-paced organization and take ownership of payroll processing for 1,000+ U.S. employees across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process multi-state bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees using ADP
- Communicate directly with ADP to resolve payroll issues
- Prepare manual and off-cycle payroll payments
- Record payroll activity and reconcile journal entries in Workday
- Manage payroll-related items including fringe benefits, deductions, and 401(k) elections
- Reconcile monthly payroll bank statements
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll questions and issues
- Support annual payroll and corporate audits
- Partner with Finance and HR on payroll-related projects and initiatives
- Assist with various ad hoc payroll and accounting responsibilities
Ideal Candidate:
- 5–8 years of payroll experience
- Strong experience with ADP, preferably ADP Workforce Now
- Experience with Workday
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience managing multi-state payroll in a complex organization
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
Compensation: $90,000–$100,000 base + discretionary annual bonus
Location: Boston, MA
