Recruitment Specialist – Boston, MA

We are seeking candidates for a Recruitment Specialist position with a highly successful brand in the consumer goods space located in Boston, MA. This position will manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a variety of retail positions, partnering closely with hiring managers to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent. The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment.

This is a 4-6+ month contract position that will pay $35-45/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position supports a hybrid work model onsite 3 days per week, remote 2 days per week in their Boston Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination.
  • Recruit for a variety of retail positions, including Store Associates, Key Holders, Assistant Store Managers, Store Managers, District Managers, and Corporate Retail Support roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, workforce planning, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Source qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, employee referrals, networking, career fairs, and other recruiting channels.
  • Conduct phone and video interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, communication skills, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and maintain consistent communication between candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active and passive retail talent for current and future hiring needs.
  • Extend verbal offers and assist with salary discussions and offer negotiations.
  • Track candidate activity and maintain accurate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience through timely communication and professionalism.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline activity, interview conversion rates, and offer acceptance rates.
  • Stay informed on retail hiring trends, labor market conditions, and competitive recruiting strategies.
  • Participate in recruiting events, job fairs, and community outreach initiatives as needed.
  • Provide additional support as needed. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within agency, retail, hospitality, staffing, or high-volume recruiting.
  • Experience recruiting for hourly and salaried retail positions is highly preferred.
  • Strong sourcing skills utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job boards, referrals, and social media platforms.
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
