Senior Finance Associate – Alternative Credit Platform
Boston, MA (Downtown) | $110,000–$130,000 Base + Target 20% Bonus | Hybrid (3 Days In-Office)

A leading alternative credit platform is seeking a Senior Associate, Fund Finance to join its growing finance team. This position offers broad exposure to fund accounting, financial reporting, investment operations, and recurring close processes across a diverse alternative investment platform.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, third-party administrators, auditors, and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in supporting the firm's investment vehicles while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiencies. This is an outstanding opportunity for an accounting or finance professional looking to build a long-term career within a highly regarded asset management organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review NAV packages, capital account statements, financial statements, and administrator deliverables

  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting

  • Assist with capital calls, distributions, fund expense allocations, accruals, and investor reporting

  • Partner with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and cross-functional internal teams

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting efficiency

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund finance, asset management, fund administration, or public accounting

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and investment fund accounting principles

  • Experience working with third-party fund administrators is preferred

  • CPA designation or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred

  • Exposure to private credit, structured products, VPM, Investran, Geneva, or similar investment accounting systems is a plus

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $110,000–$130,000

  • Target Bonus: 20%

  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days per week in the downtown Boston office
