Project Manager Consultant – Financial Services – Boston, MA
Daley And Associates is currently looking for a highly motivated, Senior Project Manager Consultant to join our client who is a prominent financial services firm. This individual would be responsible for driving the execution of a complex, global program to build a total return swaps offerings for our client’s global Prime Services business. This person must have experience working on large, multi-year projects with equity derivatives experience. This role will be onsite 4 days a week in the Boston office.
This role is a 12+ month contract engagement and will pay up to a rate of $85/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines and milestones
- Coordinate and communicate project plans, objectives, and progress to team members and stakeholders
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Create comprehensive trading and operational project plans working with key workstream leads
- Work with downstream data users (eg: Treasury, Risk, Finance) to define and capture requirements
- Design client trade reporting, and support delivery of regulatory reporting
- Create and execute development and testing plans Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with project/program leads across the broader enterprise on related projects and build strong working relationships
- Monitor project budgets, resources, and expenditures, ensuring financial targets are met
- Conduct regular project status meetings and report progress to senior management’
- Support delivery of regulatory compliance and necessary approvals for product launch
- Facilitate and track delivery of governance and oversee programs necessary to support the launch of a new business
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management field required, Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in project/program management driving enterprise level, high impact and cross-functional initiatives
- 3-5+ years of experience in equity finance/prime brokerage, synthetics or equity derivatives as a senior Project Manager would be desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills being able to manage across different teams, locations, and disciplines
- Detail oriented, with the ability to distil and summarize key concepts in writing and present these to a variety of audiences
- Proven experience of managing complex and multi-workstream programs with collaboration across multiple stakeholders to achieve a common goal
- Excellent influencing skills required, including at a senior level across stakeholder groups
- Strong reporting and presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and high attention to detail
- Thorough understanding and experience with project management techniques and methods (e.g. Agile, SCRUM)
