Valuations and Strategic Analysis Senior Associate
A well-established private equity firm located in Boston is seeking a Valuations and Strategic Analysis Senior Associate to join their VSA Team. This role will report to the head of the VSA Team and will primarily be responsible for assisting with the quarterly valuation of the firm's portfolio companies. This position has a hybrid in-office work schedule.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Assisting with valuation analysis on a wide range of public and private entities within various industries using accepted and relevant approaches and theory

Preparing valuation-related materials for financial reporting and fundraising purposes

Performing in-depth industry and market research

Working in conjunction with investment teams to gather financial information data pertinent to the portfolio companies

Responding to investor and due diligence requests

Creating ad hoc reports for various departments throughout the firm

Assisting in preparing and presenting the results of each analysis in a clear and concise manner
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

CFA, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
-
2 – 3 years’ experience, preferably in a valuation role

Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience with OPM / contingent claims analyses is a plus
