Ultrasound Technologist – Breast Sonographer

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality breast ultrasound procedures and assisting in various diagnostic and interventional procedures

Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the ultrasound examination process.

Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.

Aid in ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and other interventional procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both with patients and within the team.

Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and practices.

Contribute to a positive work environment through active participation in team meetings and initiatives.
Qualifications:
-
Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. Specialty in Breast Sonography (BR) or equivalent preferred

BLS certification required.

At least 1 year of experience in breast ultrasound imaging.

Manual dexterity to operate ultrasound equipment.

Strong technical skills and knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Willingness to work weekends on a rotational basis.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
